We decided to start simple with the first game by focusing on muscular strength and muscular endurance with sit-ups, push-ups and (coming soon!...probably) squats, featuring Mayu Uehara as the player's trainer/love interest.

With the second game, tentatively titled Burn your fat with me!! 2, we wanted to moévate players to start a cardiovascular fitness routine and the obvious choice for this was a running app.

While the staff has been spending most of their time on the version 2.0 update and localization of the first game, we've also been working on 2 here and there as time has permitted. We've already through the planning and design phase and so all that's left is moving it into the production stage and commissioning the art and voice work.

The star this time around will be Yuki Hashio, a sarcastic and irritable first-year student and star track and field athlete. Mayu and Marika will of course be making appearances in the game, but it's the tomboyish Yuki who will keep players on their toes for training and trials.

The development team is really excited about the game system that they're putting together and they tell me that they feel confident this app will be the first of its kind. We can't give you too many details now, but let's just say that whereas Mayu tries to motivate the player through verbal encouragement, Yuki thinks there's nothing more motivating than a little friendly competition...

We've put up a simple teaser page at http://nensho2.net/ and while we'd like to have the game out sometime in August, realistically it could easily take a few months longer, especially for the English version.

As for Burn your fat with me!! 3, all I can say now is that it will feature Marika Kugawa and likely promote an entirely different component of physical fitness, such as flexibility, or it could be something completely different!

Ultimately, depending on the response to Burn your fat with me!!, we'd like to use the girls for a new series of moévation apps dealing with something other than fitness. We've got plenty of ideas but can't do much at the moment other than take it one step at a time and do our best to put out a game good enough to be worthy of our ambitions!

Hello everyone!

We've had a few exciting developments in the past week on both the development and localization fronts and I hope it's enough news for you to forgive the silence since my last post... ^^;;

First and foremost, we finally have our voices for Mayu, Yuki and Marika, the three female characters in Burn your fat with me!!

We initially decided to search for our voice actors by posting an auditions request to the online communities Voice Acting Club and Voice Acting Alliance after seeing several excellent anime and game fandubs done by their members on YouTube and were both overwhelmed and flattered by the response we received. By the time the deadline had passed we had an inbox full of 42 auditions and there were so many amazing performances that just narrowing them down to a top 3 literally took hours. Figma, the game's director, commented to me several times over that he was blown away by the passion and ardor of those who auditioned for us and even our Japanese fans were excited to see so many people overseas showing interest in the game!

So thank you so much to everyone who sent in auditions and I only wish we had 39 more roles to fill.

The Japanese staff and I are very excited to work with these three talented ladies and we look forward to sharing their voice with you soon!　I personally have the feeling I'll be asking them for help and direction more than the other way around, so I'd like to thank them for their patience and understanding in advance ^^;; Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu!

Next I'd like to give a quick update about the game. As I mentioned in my previous post, we had some trouble getting the version 1.5 update for the Japanese game through the Apple review process thanks to a few bathing suit images that were deemed to dicey for even the 17+ rating.

Instead of simply editing the images in question and waiting another week for the version update to crawl through review, we've decided to just push forward to version 2.0, which not only includes 4 new episodes to accompany the push-ups function, but also a completely redesigned UI and a slew of updates to the core game system. 

The 3 additional episodes from version 1.5 will of course be there as well, bringing the game up to a whopping 15 episodes! If you require some context: version 1.0 had only 8 episodes and worked only with sit-ups.

Of course, Version 2.0 is what you'll be getting from the start with the English version and we're actually aiming for a simultaneous Japanese-English release, though we've been making our Japanese fans wait an awful long time so we can't make any guarantees if localization can't keep pace... (I'm doing my best! (￣▽￣;) )

I'll be sure to post another update regarding the updates to the game system once we have some English screenshots to share!
